The admission fee is $22 ($18.50) for concession but the price includes a safari bus tour where you can get up close to the animals. Definitely not the usual zoo experience. Great Ocean R...The Dandenongs, walks are beautiful.<br />Great Ocean Road, who doesn't love it?<br />A walking tour of op shops, bakeries, or of course, Botanic Gardens, Fitzroy Gardens (Captain Cook's cottage is very cheap admission too).<br />There are usually some free exhibitions on at NGV, Fed Square, the State Library.. and you can always visit cafes or bars and just get a coffee and make it last a long time while you soak up the atmosphere!<br />Then, of course, there's the City Circle tram, which I actually really enjoy.<br />There are free tours of things like the Town Hall. <br />Block Arcade off Collins St is nice to browse around, too.
